noise making horse toys that function despite being decapitated

Cat lovers and owners, I'd like to ask you a question.

Is it normal to collect/keep your cat's whiskers after they have fallen out?

I ask this as while I was at the Salvos today I was talking to a friend who does this. (and thinks it is perfectly normal to do so) Maybe, as someone who does not own a cat, I am just uniformed on this matter, however it struck me as pretty odd.

She was also telling me how her soon to be mother-in-law is an EXCELLENT gift giver - recent gifts to her son include a box of 'magic tricks', a toy dinosaur egg (or that's what it looked like at least) and coloured pencils. (he is 26 or somewhere there abouts) I found this amusing. We also bonded over our mutual distaste for Supre.

In other news, I picked up some reservations from the library this morning. I was particularly looking forward to the Beatles Yellow Submarine CD. After lunch I open the case to find NO DISC. It was just plain cruel. I'm thinking it could be a conspiracy because it was isn't a legit CD case (one that appeared as you would purchase it from the store) it just had what I now realise to be a PICTURE of the disc as the front cover - VERY SUSPICIOUS (initially I assumed it was just a clear case and you could see the disc through it)

So I wonder, plot of former borrower to steal the original Beatles CD (finding an empty case and scanning a picture of the CD to slide into the front to go unoticed)? Or simple mistake of forgetting to put the disc back in the case prior to returning it? If not for the library stickers/barcode I would be sure it was the former. Now I must go back on Monday, hopefully they will not suspect I am the fiend who misplaced the disc!
