These burgers...

To get you in the mood...

Went for a romantic lunch date with J yesterday, after nabbing some bargains. Came home with 6 new items of clothing that cost a grand total of $23.80. Nothing overly exciting, but some good basics that will allow me to mix up my rotation a little. I was quite happy with my bargain acquiring skills.

Here is J, rockin a blue striped skater dress and brown pleather jacket, with her chosen burger (with contents I prefer to ignore :P) It might be partially due to the perspective, but I like how large the burger looks here, relative to her.

My garden green burger:
Vegie patty, avocado, beetroot, tomato, lettuce, cheese, mayo/relish and onion (which was extracted and given to J)

I enjoyed this meal. It was thoroughly entertaining to watch J attempt to eat hers. Let's just say she displayed an exceptional level of class whilst consuming her burger, that left her hands smelling like burger afterwards, despite multiple applications of detol.

Had work in the afternoon. Felt so filthy afterwards. Working with children in Winter i.e. cold season, is not good for someone who is somewhat of a germ freak. Managed to get stuck with a table of kids, almost all of whom were coughing all over the work books that would soon after be given to me to mark. Yum. One of the smallest kids, a cute little girl who was doing a reading book initially seemed like a good addition to my table until she started coughing and wiping her nose on her jumper (almost as bad as the guy we saw on the bus, casually blowing his nose on his shirt neck/collar) She was somewhat amusing though, as she is a really shy/quiet type (so soft spoken with a tiny, high little voice when she reads), so she was quietly doing her work and randomly looks up at me and says 'We have a basketball hoop at my house'. Kids. She then told me a bit about her hoop and how she can throw the basketball, but she can't dribble yet. I assured her she'd learn with practice and attempted to hide my disguest at her questionable hygiene.

My sister's birthday is in two days...I should be making her a birthday card right now.
Tomorrow I'll go buy the rest of her present debating between a Batman video game she wants, or Adventure Time goods from Toys R Us. (the first is def on her wishlist and is marginally more useful than the latter, however the latter matches with the rest of her present and she is less likely to buy for herself) Opinions?

P.S. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventure_Time
It's actually a really lumpin good show.

All those frozen strawberries...

Really enjoying this song at the moment...I'm sure Junaberry would get a kick out of the video too...

And a semester later I return...

Today was folio submission. Which means that after my exam on the 18th I am FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I don't think the feeling you get after signing in your folio, and knowing that you no longer have to look at the project you've been slaving over for weeks, can be matched by many other things.

Was surprisingly organised this folio (as compared to S2 last year, where I pulled successive all nighters was not finished until midday of folio day). This time I had pretty much finished 24 hours before and got about 5-6 hours of sleep every night of folio week, which is pretty impressive. Was actually unsettling and felt extremely unnatural to finish early. Spent the morning at the library waiting for the 3pm deadline to come around. Felt like I needed to be working so touched up some of my hand renders.

While it was not as stressful as past experiences, that's not to say I wasn't working hard from when I woke up to when I went to bed...and my arm/back muscles are still aching from model making and being hunched over my desk. (know I'll pay for this in later years)

When we submitted, my coordinator got us to run her through the folio, as I was going through the pages I noticed the top of my bra was a little exposed, so pulled my singlet up. It still didn't feel right though and I realised it had become unhooked at the back (wth?). So I continued through the folio, then went back to my friends and casually dropped a brb and went to adjust myself in the bathroom. Found this to be slightly hilar. Could have been awkward if it had been more obvious, but whatevs.

Enjoyed some free cake (free post-folio afternoon tea is customary) sampled some carrot cake, weird berry/cream cake (don't even know why I picked this up, because I don't like cream - it did look appealing though), orange cake and chocolate cake. Felt sick after the first one, but kept going, because if FREE cake is around, you KNOW I'm going to take advantage of that shiz. Meanwhile half of the faculty was outside on the lawn getting drunk, with music blaring. Not really my scene (coolest kid out) so I headed to le bus to go home.

In other news I recently came across this:

I find most of it pretty amusing and accurate. If you ever wanted to know what life as an architecture student is like, this provides a pretty good idea. So much of it really resonates with me - if I haven't experienced it/can't relate to it, I know people who have/can.

After I clean my room tomorrow and get some things sorted, I actually don't know what I'm going to do with all this free time I have on my hands. Think it'll feel bizarre not to be doing architecture projects every waking hour of the day. So keen to relax, though I'll probably get bored in two days.

All for now.
